I have been family friends with Dawson and his family for as long as I've been alive. Our dads grew up together in Florence, OR and are still best friends to this day. When I first met Carlie, I knew immediately there was no way she was NOT going to end up a Housley.

Dawson and Carlie live up in Portland while his family lives down in Eugene. His sisters birthday was earlier in the week and the perfect excuse to take Carlie on a short road trip down I-5 for the "birthday party" (which was really an engagement party full of Carlie's family and friends). I carpooled up with Dawson's sister Avery, Carlie's "little", Amanda, from her sorority, and our friend Sammy to Willamette Valley Vineyards early Saturday morning. We met up with some more of Carlie's friends who wanted to be there for the big event, so we scoped out the area that he had picked out for where he wanted to propose, and made sure we had the perfect angles ready to capture the whole surprise - and not be seen by Carlie! Lenny, their military service dog, mysteriously "escaped" from the truck and came running out with the ring tied to his collar. To no one's surprise, she said yes!!
